The Junior Code for Living
Because I am an example for others, I will try to live by the following Code. When
I make mistakes, I will say that I am sorry and try to do better.
As an individual:
- I will try my hardest in practice and in games.
- I will play by the rules.
- I will be kind to everyone, and will not call others names.
As a member of a team:
- I will put the team ahead of myself.
- I will try to help everyone on the team be friends with each other.
- I will follow the team rules made by the coach.
As a member of society:
- I will always try to set a good example for everyone who sees me.
- I will do my part to help others in my community and world.
Star Players is a fun and rewarding internet club for young athletes.
As part of Athletes for a Better World, Star Players helps members become better
players and better people by using fun activities to build skills, character, teamwork
and citizenship.
Participation in Star Players is built around a commitment to the Junior Code for
Living that teaches life principles through sports.
Star Players is for young athletes ages 4 through 12, and is divided into four age
groups. Each age group is filled with fun activities that are divided into Bronze,
Silver and Gold skill levels.
Members remain in each skill level for three months, earning first a medal and then
as many additional stars as possible by completing activities.
To earn a medal, each member must complete six activities. After that, members earn
a star every time they complete two more activities.
The goal is to earn as many stars as possible before moving to the next level.
